“The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]” (1 John 4:8 AMP)
Who does God love?
God loves all people including the destitute and despised, the downcast and the downtrodden.
He loves all the failures who have struggled with and succumbed to temptation.
He reaches down for the fallen, the downcast, and the destitute.
God’s love is for all those in the world who have sinned. Indeed, He loves us all.
That includes the priest and the prostitute. It includes the district attorney and the drug addict. It includes the apostolic and the alcoholic.
And the way to know, and receive, God’s love is by a personal intimate relationship with Him through acceptance of Jesus into your life as your Saviour and Lord.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NLT)
“And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31 NLT)
“By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35 NIV)
