The word “attribute” is defined as “a quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something”.
God has many attributes that combined describe God. Some of these attributes are:
Omnipotence which means God is all-powerful. This means God has supreme power and has no limitations. Omniscience which means God is all-knowing. This means God knows everything, including the past and future. And Omnipresent, meaning God is present everywhere at all times. The prefix ”omni” comes from the Latin for ”all.”
Other attributes of God include:
Love (John 3:16 ; 1 John 4:8)
Mercy (Exodus 3:19 ; Romans 9:5 ; Titus 3:4-6)
Justice (Isaiah 30:18)
Judgement (Psalm 9:7-8 ; Revelation 20:12-13)
Wrath or righteous anger (John 3:36 ; Romans 1:18 ; Ephesians 5:6 ; Romans 2:5 ; Revelation 14:10-11)
Righteousness (Deuteronomy 32:4)
Kindness (Titus 3:4-6)
Wisdom (Romans 11:33-34)
Power (Jeremiah 10:12)
Holiness (1 Peter 1:16)
Goodness (Romans 2:4)
Truth (John 14:6)
Compassion (Exodus 3:19 & Romans 9:5)
Faithfulness (2 Timothy 2:13)
Please Note: There are many other verses for each attribute of God in the Bible apart from those listed above.
